    Remain in His Love

“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭9‬-‭12‬ ‭

    Peace is a Gift

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭14:27‬

Thank you Jesus for the gift of peace. Help us to accept it and rest in your peace today.

    Be curious, not judgmental…

Walt Whitman: “Be curious, not judgmental.”

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.” Matthew 7:1-5

    Humble yourself

If we spend all day controlling and blocking others, why would we change when we kneel to pray?

    Put on Jesus

“Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
    ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:12-17‬

Lord Jesus, help us all to live this way.

    Love the Lord

“O love the Lord, all you His godly ones! The Lord preserves the faithful And fully recompenses the proud doer. Be strong and let your heart take courage, All you who hope in the Lord.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭31:23-24‬

    Boast in the Lord

“But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.”
    ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:14‬

The Apostle Paul wrote these words. If anyone had a right to boast it would be him, yet he understood that even his greatest accomplishments in this world were not what really mattered. It is the salvation we have through faith in Christ that saves us. It is Jesus death on the cross that made a way for us to be in the family of God. Boast in Christ today and put not faith in the things of this world.

    Trust in the Lord

“Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers! For they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭37:1-6‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Jesus is the Bread of Life

“I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.””
    ‭‭John‬ ‭6:48-51‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Is your soul hungry for God? Look to Jesus and cry out to him. He is the living bread and the only food that will satisfy your hungry soul.

    Abound in Hope

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13

Sometimes life feels hopeless. There are problems and struggles everywhere. Often we focus on the problems and struggles and can’t see past them to the great mercy and love that God has for us. I pray today we can look to Jesus and be filled with His joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit we can not just have hope again, but abound in it.
